Message From the Resort Manager
It has been 133 days since Barbara and I first landed on Hilton Head Island. Excitement, trepidation, and some of the “Oh my what have we done” factor was in our thoughts as we traveled from where we were working in Bar Harbor, Maine, to this Island Paradise. Barbara’s initial reaction was excitement over the endless shopping possibilities. Her second thoughts, which were not quite as exciting, had to do with the heat and humidity.
As we drove into the Resort and through those beautiful gates, like many, we were in awe. The Resort was very impressive, awe inspiring, and so beautiful – all before we even arrived at our site. The live oaks were magnificent. Our new home was, and is, gorgeous. For an RVer, long, wide, and flat are very desirable. Our site was, and is still, all that and more.
Both of us were greeted with warm, gracious welcomes from our new neighbors who immediately took us under their wings by showing us some of the hidden treasures of Hilton Head Island.
Me? I was so anxious to get started that the weather didn’t even enter my mind except that I could wear shorts. As a matter of fact, I still am wearing shorts in December. I was so excited upon my arrival to the Resort that I came into the office 3 days early.
The beach at Hilton Head? What a beautiful sight. The water was so warm. Please remember we just came from Maine so it was all so wonderful. The dining on the Island is fantastic. We are still busy sampling all manner of different foods and low country delights.
Hilton Head Island Motorcoach Resort is more than a place. It is a community of wonderful owners and guests, their families, and their pets. It is an environment one finds hard to believe is located in the middle of this beautiful Island. It is a place full of not just people but a collection of wildlife, deer, raccoons, adorable and entertaining squirrels, and more.
133 plus days later Barbara and I are even more in love with Hilton Head Island and Hilton Head Island Motorcoach Resort. The facilities here are wonderful, the owners welcoming and supportive, and the guests always bring in an aura of excitement and wonderment. I love hearing everyone’s travel stories and future plans.
As we come to the end of 2017, I can only look forward to 2018 with continued excitement. As I look back at 2017, the RV lifestyle has been all that it promised with travel, adventure, and new friends. I am confident that 2018 will bring more travel, adventure, and new friends. When you visit Hilton Head Island Motorcoach Resort in 2018, please stop by to say hello and tell me your stories so I can add you to my list of new RV friends!
